Iljo Keisse

Iljo Keisse ( born December 21, 1982 in Ghent) is a Belgian racing cyclist. It is primarily active in the web.

Iljo Keisse was 2003 Belgian champion in the individual pursuit. Thus he went in 2004 for the cycling team Jong Vlaanderen 2016. He was together with Kenny De Ketele U23 European champion in Madison. On the road, he won a stage of the Tour du Loir -et- Cher. In 2005 he moved to the Belgian Professional Continental team chocolate Jacques. He drives together since 2004 on the track with Matthew Gilmore. The two became European champion in 2005 and third in the world championship in Madison. In addition, they won in the 2005/2006 season, the three six-day race in Grenoble, Ghent and Hasselt.

After winning the Six Days of Ghent in 2008 Keisse tested positive for the stimulant Cathin and the masking substance hydrochlorothiazide ( HCT). The B- sample was positive. For this case had Keisse, which was subsequently dismissed from his team topsport Vlaanderen, announced end of his career.

However, for the six-day season 2009/2010 Keisse returned to the velodrome with a participation in the six-day race in Grenoble. The Belgian Cycling Federation had acquitted him of the doping allegations.
