Ilka Chase

Ilka Chase ( born April 8, 1900 in New York City; † February 15, 1978 in Mexico City) was an American actress and writer.

Ilka Chase was the only daughter of Edna Woolman Chase, the editor of Vogue and her husband Francis Dane Chase. She attended schools in the U.S., England and France. In 1926 she married Louis Calhern, however, divorced a year later. In 1924 she made ​​her debut on Broadway.

Her first book was the autobiography Past Imperfect (1942 ), and the second part of Free Admission (1948 ). You wrote about another dozen novels.
