Ilona Vusovich

Ilona Ussowitsch (White Russian Ілона Усовіч, English transcription Ilona Usovich, . Born November 14, 1982 in Tscherwen ) is a Belarusian sprinter who specializes in the 400 -meter run.

Like her older sister Swjatlana Ussowitsch she attended the National Sports School in Minsk and was then coached by Igor Sacharewitsch. At the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Budapest in 2004 both sisters belonged to the Belarussian season, won the silver in the 4 x 400 - meter relay.

In the same year they missed at the Olympic Games in Athens with the Belarusian team almost reaching the final of the 4 x 400 - meter relay. In 2005, she finished fourth at the European Indoor Championships in Madrid, reaching the semi-finals at the World Championships in Helsinki. In 2006 she won at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow bronze in the 4 x 400 - meter relay. At the European Championships in Gothenburg she was fifth in the individual competition and won silver in the relay.

The following year, followed at the European Indoor Championships in Birmingham silver in the individual competition and gold in the relay and at the World Championships in Osaka seventh place in the 400m and a fifth place in the relay.

In 2008, she was employed at the major events only in the Season: The World Indoor Championships in Valencia, she won with the Belarusian team silver at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, she came to fourth place.
