Ilse Fürstenberg

Ilse Fürstenberg ( born December 12, 1907 in Berlin, † December 16, 1976 in Basel; actually Ilse Irmgard Funcke ) was a German actress and voice actress.

Life

Her acting training, she graduated from 1924 to 1926 at the Drama School of the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. In 1926 she received her first engagement at the National Theatre Mannheim. Then she played in Konstanz and since 1928 at major theaters in Berlin.

Early on she found minor roles in film ( housekeeper of Professor Rath in The Blue Angel, 1930). Although it was rare in supporting roles, but often see it in solid character roles. Among her best-known films include M (1931 ) Munchausen (1943 ), Great Freedom No. 7 (1944 ), Canaris (1954 ) or The Captain from Köpenick (1931 ) and the film version of The Captain from Köpenick from the year 1956.

In addition, she has worked since the 50s as a voice actress.

She was buried at the Munich Forest Cemetery.
