Ilsesee

The Ilsesee is a lake in Bavaria, on the outskirts of Augsburg King Brunn.
Location and origin
It lies on the southern edge of the city of Augsburg area, but is accessible by motor vehicles only from the southern suburb of King of Brunn and represents the center of an outdoor recreation area dar. Its average depth is 9 m, at the lowest point 15 m. The lake is one of the leading dive lakes in Bavaria. It is a closed waters, which has no natural inflow and outflow and groundwater fed. The Ilsesee was created by gravel mining and has now become a very diverse marine flora and fauna. Since 2009, a special ecological concept, responsible, implemented by the dive Ilsesee. In addition to protective zones for Lake residents specially designated bathing areas, a playground, several sun and playing fields and a beach volleyball court are created. Means for changing rooms, toilets and a kiosk, a dive center on the east bank, Zeiss access road and a lifeguard station are also included.
The Ilsesee is the property of Ilsesee GmbH & Co KG. The dive rights are reserved by the dive Ilsesee GbR. The Lautersee is located next to the Ilsesee (about 360 x 220 m, approximately 7 acres of water ). This is part of a landscape park, which is why swimming is not permitted.

Diving
Besides its function as the lake has Ilsesee thanks to its beautiful underwater world ( diverse flora, fish stock, among other eel, pike, bream, perch, tench, grass carp and sturgeon ) is also important for the sport of diving in southern Germany.
