Imelda Wiguno

Mustika Imelda Wiguna Kurniawan ( born October 12, 1951 in Slavi, Central Java, formerly known as Oei Chin Kim) is a former Indonesian badminton player.

Career

Imelda Wiguna was one of the most successful doubles and mixed players of the 1970s. Her first success was a third place at the Asian Games in 1974, together with Theresa Widiastuti in women's doubles. 1978 both won at the games in a double with Verawaty. After winning the Canadian Open in 1979 and the All England in 1979 and 1980 they fought in 1980 the world title in mixed doubles with Christian Hadinata and the runner-up in doubles with Verawaty.

Different sources use different spellings of their last name. So the spellings Wigoena, Wiguno and Wigoeno are as uncommon as Wiguna. Similarly, it was customary to report them only as Imelda.
