Inaccessible Islands

Inaccessible Islands (Eng. " Inaccessible islands" ) are a group of small, uninhabited islands in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands in the Southern Ocean.

The Inaccessible Islands are located approximately 30 kilometers west of Coronation Iceland, the largest island of the archipelago, and make the most western land mass of the South Orkney Islands Represent rise steeply from the ocean and reach heights 120-215 m above sea level.

The islands may have been already discovered in 1820 by Nathaniel Palmer and called Seal Islands. As secured the discovery by British sealers George Powell in December 1821 they baptized over their alleged inaccessibility Inaccessible Islands.
