Iñaki Mallona Txertudi

Iñaki Mallona Txertudi CP ( born July 1, 1934 in Frúniz ) is retired bishop of Arecibo.

Life

Iñaki Mallona Txertudi joined the Congregation of the Passionists and received on 27 March 1956, the ordination.

John Paul II appointed him on 14 December 1991 concerning the Bishop of Arecibo and was introduced to the office on January 25 of next year. The Pope personally donated to it on 6 January of the next year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Giovanni Battista Re, substitute of the Secretariat of State and Josip Uhač, secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.

On September 24, 2010 Benedict XVI accepted. its age-related resignation.
