Inārs Kivlenieks

Inars Kivlenieks ( born July 4, 1986 in Riga) is a Latvian luger.

Inars Kivlenieks is a student and lives in Inckukalns. He toboggan since 2003 and moved in 2006 to the Latvian national team. In the season 2005/ 06 he made his debut in the doubles with Lauris Berzins in Luge World Cup. Start of the season the team was on their home track in Sigulda 20 Even better it ran in the following race in Cesana Pariol where they were 14. In the overall standings the double came on the 26th place in the following season they were able to improve a place. In Nagano was a 12th place best result.

For the season 2007/ 08 Kivlenieks switched to the single-seater. In his first race in Winterberg Latvian came in at number 20 It should be his best result of the season. Far better was the start of the Luge World Cup 2008/2009. From the first race in Igls, he was able to improve to 14th in Sigulda he even managed eleventh almost in the top ten.

His first major event went Kivlenieks at the Luge World Championship 2008 in Cesana, where he was good 13. Less good was the Luge World Cup in Oberhof 2008. Here the Lette was only 28
