Incognito is a British band that is considered an important member of the acid jazz movement. In 1981, her debut album, Jazz Funk appeared. From 1991 to 2001 Incognito was the flagship of the British music label Talkin ' Loud. Since they are at the London Soul - Label Dome under contract.

Formation

" Bluey " Maunick founded the band in 1980 along with bassist Paul " Tubbs " Wiliams, saxophonist George Lee from Ghana and drummer Jeff Dunn. Later keyboardist Peter Hinds and percussionist Gee Bello were joined. Also, the Northern Irish singer Van Morrison joined the band at a little later. Her first work was an instrumental song ( Parisienne Girl), which was used at a radio station as a stopgap before the news. Occupation

Another important member of the band is Maysa Leak, an American jazz singer, who has appeared on seven of the twelve studio albums. The British singer Tony Momrelle is the band since 2006, the lead singer. Also Imaani is since 2000 a singer in the band. The instrumentalists of the band change mostly from album to album, but partly also from song to song.
