India at the 1900 Summer Olympics
India participated in Paris with an athlete at the 1896 Summer Olympics.
The IAAF in 2005 published statistics on the participants in the Olympic Games, in the Indian participants Norman Pritchard is listed as British, because India was still a colony of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. The IOC lists Pritchard, however, as an Indian.
