The Indravati is a tributary of the Godavari, the second longest river of India. The Indravati rises in the Eastern Ghats in Odisha, flows west and partly forms the border between the central Indian states of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. After about 386 km it flows at Bhadrakali in the Godavari.

The Indravati forms the lifeline of the district Bastar. In the near Jagdalpur, the river forms the known Chitrakot Falls, the widest waterfall in India. Is the Indravati National Park, the most visited National Park in Chhattisgarh on the banks of the river in the district Dantewara. The largest tributary of Indravati is the Pamer Chinta.
