Indusium griseum

The indusium griseum ( " gray veil " ) is a thin layer of gray matter that is located immediately dorsal to the corpus callosum. It belongs to Archipallium, thus represents a phylogenetically old part of the cerebrum dar. on both sides of the indusium griseum thickened by longitudinal beads, which are called medial and lateral longitudinal striae. The indusium griseum is a part of the hippocampal formation.
