Industrija Motornih Vozil

Industry of Motornih Vozil was a Yugoslav manufacturers of automobiles.

Company History

The company Agroservis from Ljubljana donated land machines. Under the company name Moto Montaža began in 1954, the production of automobiles under licenses from foreign companies. In 1959 it was renamed the Industry of Motornih Vozil. 1969 there was an agreement with the British Motor Corporation. In September 1972, a contract was signed with Renault. In addition, caravans and motorhomes the brand Adriatic arose. In June 1988, IMV founded together with Renault in a joint venture Revoz. Revoz continued its vehicle production. 1990 caravan and motorhome manufacturing was transferred to the newly founded company Adria Mobil. 1991 IMV was dissolved.

In collaboration with the Auto Union originated in 1955 light-duty vehicles such as the DKW Quick Aster the DKW brand.

Austin

Between 1969 and 1972 the company produced vehicles of Austin in cooperation with the British Motor Corporation. The brand name was Austin IMV. The total number of 21,379 copies distributed as follows:

Renault

Production of Renault vehicles began in 1973 with the Renault 4 This model was produced also by Revoz. The larger models were not as successful, as can be seen from the following table.

Another source indicates that Renault 12 and Renault 16 were manufactured until the beginning of 1976, and the Renault 18 as early as 1978.
