Iness Chepkesis Chenonge

Iness Chepkesis Chenonge ( born 1 February 1982 in Saboti, Trans - Nzoia District, Rift Valley Province ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner.

In 2001 she won on the half marathon course of the Adige Marathon with the current course record of 1:13:06 h For the same year she published her personal best over this distance ( 1:10:35 h). At the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester she won bronze in the 5000 -meter run, and at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne was sixth over the same distance.

After a maternity leave in the following year she went to work in 2008 with a victory in the road race classic Marseille - Cassis back.

At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009 they finished sixth in the 5000m.
