Infante Francisco de Paula of Spain

Infant Francisco de Paula Antonio of Spain, Duke of Cádiz Spanish Francisco de Paula Antonio de Borbón, Duque de Cádiz ( born March 10, 1794 in Madrid; † August 13, 1865 same place ) was a member of the Spanish royal family of the house of Bourbon.

Life

Francisco was the youngest son of Charles IV of Spain (1748-1819) and his wife Princess Maria Louise of Bourbon -Parma (1751-1819), youngest daughter of Duke Philip of Parma, Piacenza and Guastalla and Princess Marie Louise Élisabeth de Bourbon.

On June 12, 1819 Francisco married his niece Princess Luisa in Madrid Carlota of Naples and Sicily ( 1804-1844 ), eldest daughter of King Francis I of Naples and the Two Sicilies and his second wife, the Infanta Maria Isabel of Spain. From this marriage eleven children were born, eight of whom reached adulthood:

In 1851 the Duke of Cadiz was a left-handed marriage with a Doña Teresa Arredondo. From the relationship was a son, Richard Marie de Borbon, Duke of San Ricardo (1851-1873), out.
