Information Systems Research (ISR ) is a quarterly published academic journal on business management topics. It is published by INFORMS and is considered one of the most prestigious magazine of their field of study.

The magazine ranking VHB- JOUR QUAL (2008) classifies the magazine in the best category A , the magazine 's ranking of Handelsblatt business economists rankings (2009) classifies it in the best category 1.00. The magazine ranking of the British Association of Business Schools ( 2010) classifies it in the best category 4 * a. Besides MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research is thus one of the two leading journals in their field.

The Impact Factor of Information Systems Research was in 2012 at 2,010. In the statistics of the Social Sciences Citation Index, the magazine was out in 9th place out of 85 journals in the category Information Science & Library Science. In the management category, the magazine ranked 42 out of 174 ranked journals. This belonged Information Systems Research in both categories among the top 25%.
