Ingolf Wunder

Ingolf Wunder ( born September 8, 1985 in Klagenfurt) is an Austrian pianist.

Life

After initial violin studies, he moved only with 14 years of piano and debuted in 1999 at the Vienna Konzerthaus. He studied at the Carinthian State Conservatory in Klagenfurt and at the Conservatory in Linz and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

In 2006 he released his first CD with works by Frédéric Chopin and Franz Liszt and Maurice Ravel. In June 2011, his second album was released exclusively with works by Chopin for Deutsche Grammophon.

In October 2010 he reached at the International Chopin Competition among more than 80 participants of the Second Place.
