Iñigo Landaluze

Iñigo Landaluze Intxaurraga ( born May 9, 1977 in Getxo ) is a retired Spanish road bicycle racer.

Career

Landaluze is 2001 Professional since years and has since that time under contract in the Basque cycling team Euskaltel -Euskadi. He won in 2005, surprising the scoring for the UCI Pro Tour cycling race Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré. A doping control during this race showed an elevated testosterone level. Landaluze was acquitted of the charge of the doping process the Spanish Cycling Federation, on 4 July 2006, the International Cycling Union (UCI ) against the acquittal appeal to the international sports court, but had no success. Since then Landaluze could achieve any significant success more. After another positive doping samples for erythropoietin analogue CERA at the Dauphine Libere in 2009 and a little later during training Iñigo Landaluze was once again blocked by the International Cycling Union. Landaluze did not deny the offense took full responsibility for it and denied the involvement of other riders or team it. After his suspension he has not contested any other professional race more.
