Iñigo Pérez

Iñigo Pérez Soto ( born January 18, 1988 in Pamplona ) is a Spanish football player for Athletic Bilbao.

Career

Iñigo Pérez went the way of most homegrown of Athletic: After he played a season for the cooperation partner CD Baskonia, he moved in 2007 to the squad on the second team. Two years later, on 28 October 2009, then he celebrated his debut in the first team under coach Joaquín Caparrós and stood against Rayo Vallecano in the starting lineup. The breakthrough for the time being, however, did not succeed, so he was loaned in the second half of the season 2010/ 11 at SD Huesca in the second division.

After his return he became under new coach Marcelo Bielsa more and more first-team regular and in particular came regularly in the Europa League action. Iñigo Pérez reached in this competition with his team the final, but you had to Atlético Madrid defeated.

In the 2012/13 season the players threw a serious injury, which is why he no longer was used since October 2012.
