Inka Bach

Inca Bach ( * April 27, 1956 in East Berlin ) is a German writer.

Life

Inca Bach grew up in East Berlin. In 1972, she fled with her family to West Berlin. After graduation in 1974, she studied from 1975 German and philosophy at the Free University of Berlin. In 1982, she earned a master's degree; In 1987 she received her doctorate with a thesis on German psalms for the Doctor of Philosophy. In the following years she was involved as a writer and director of television productions. Since 1991 she is a founding member of the Berlin Artists' initiative Courage against xenophobia eV In 1998 she participated in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt part. She now lives as a freelance writer with her two children in Berlin.

Inca Bach is the author of narrative prose, poetry, columns, radio dramas, plays and screenplays.

Inca Bach is a member of the Association of German writers.

Among other things, you received the following awards: 1989 New York Fellowship of the Berlin Senate, 1998 and 2003 a grant from the Foundation for Prussian Seehandlung, 1998 City Clerk to Rheinberg and 2002, the Town Clerk Office of Erfurt. In 2004 she was awarded a residency at Amsterdam, in 2009 and 2010 international artists Schöppingen, 2011 at the writers ' and translators ' house Ventspils / Latvia.
