Inoue Genzaburō

Genzaburō Inoue (Japanese井上 源 三郎; born April 4, 1829 in Bushu; † January 20, 1868 ) was a samurai of Bakumatsuzeit and leader of the sixth unit of the Shinsengumi, a police protection force in Kyoto.

Inoue learned all the techniques of dishes Rishin -ryu sword school and it was 1860 champion. But he has not lived in Shieikan - Dojo, where this style was taught. In 1863, he joined together with his master Kondō Isami and Hijikata students toshizo, Okita Soji, Nagakura Shinpachi, Harada Sanosuke and Heisuke Todo the Rōshigumi.

When they split, he remained at Kondō in Kyoto. So he decided to support the Shogun fight the Imperialists. He was the leader of the sixth unit.

During the Ikedaya - incident, he succeeded in arresting eight members of the Shishi ( activists ).

He was supposed to be a very serious and in dealing with the sword talented person.
