Insolvency Regulation (EC) 1346/2000

Regulation ( EC) No 1346/ 2000 on insolvency proceedings ( Insolvency Regulation ) deals with questions of bankruptcy law with European points of reference. Therefore covered by the EIR are those debtors who are legally doing business (for companies ) cross-border or in a Member State other than that in its founding. Ostensibly, here are the questions the jurisdiction of the bankruptcy courts, the question of the applicable law and the recognition of decisions of foreign bankruptcy courts.
