Institut d'Estadística de Catalunya

The Institut d' Estadística de Catalunya ( IDESCAT ) is the Statistical Office of the Spanish region of Catalonia. It is an autonomous administrative body with legal personality under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The task of IDESCAT is the planning, standardization, coordination and management of regional statistics in Catalonia.

The seat of authority is at Via Laietana in the Barri Gòtic in Barcelona.
