History

It was founded IEP Rennes on 13 June 1991 by decree at the same time as the Institut d' études politiques de Lille. It was directed in a former school building in the Boulevard de la Duchesse Anne, which had been designed in 1882 by architect Jean -Marie Laloy.

On the basis of spatial difficulties, the IEP wanted to win 2010, some new sites and thereby also increase its number of students. 2011 Nantes came as a new town this week, but was then abandoned because of problems with the University of Nantes. Since 2012 is now also taught in Caen.
