Insurance Europe

Insurance Europe is the umbrella organization founded in 1953, the national associations of insurance companies in Europe and acts as an advocacy particularly at European level. By March 2012, the association was called the Comité Européen des Assurances.

The Association has set its primary goal the best possible way for the interests of member associations to use and, in particular, to influence legislation in favor of the insurance companies.

In the loss prevention to Insurance Europe has made the task of making the collected national findings from the insurer claims experience and claims research to other interested European parties only and to provide in the form of publications for general use. Furthermore, the Association developed guidelines with a particular aspect of underwriting concerns. In cooperation with the European Standardisation Organisation, these guidelines, which are quasi- grown, in practice, time-tested replacement standards are introduced.

Objectives

  • Represented European insurers to promote, defend and illustrate their views in international forums,
  • Exchange of information and experience between the different markets and,
  • Expressing the views of European insurers on economic and social issues in general.

  • Association of Insurance Companies of Austria ( Austria )
