International Advertising Association

The International Advertising Association was founded on April 8, 1938 by Thomas Ashwell (Editor of the " Export Trade & Shipper " Magazines) with twelve other advertising managers at the Harvard Club in New York. The objective was the exchange of best practices in international advertising.

Today, the IAA has about 60 corporate members and 4,000 individual members in over 70 countries around the world as well as 60 accredited institutions and 30 organizations as members. The IAA is the only international organizations, members from all three pillars of the advertising and communications industry has: advertisers, agencies ( creative agencies, PR agencies, event agencies, market research agencies, etc. ) and the media.
