International Association for Jazz Education

The International Association for Jazz Education was an international association for jazz education, which existed until 2009. It published a magazine ( four times a year ) and two newsletters.

History

The International Association for Jazz Education was established in 1989 as a non-profit organization from the International Association of Jazz Educators (since 1971), its precursor, the National Association of Jazz Education was founded in the United States of America in 1968. She organized some cases more than 7,000 educators, jazz musicians, jazz producers and other interested parties from thirty countries and organized annual conferences where numerous musicians presented their concert appearances. In 2008, the International Association for Jazz Education had to start insolvency proceedings, in the course of which it was dissolved.

With the inclusion in this Hall of Fame personalities were honored, their musical contributions and their contributions to jazz education have led the way for the worldwide jazz education.
