International Brahms Competition

The International Johannes Brahms Competition ( " Brahms Competition ") is a registered out annually since 1993, international competition in Pörtschach in Austria, where Brahms occasionally stayed in the summer.

In the categories of piano, violin, cello, viola, vocal and chamber music that competitors are obliged to either carry forward works by Johannes Brahms in the preliminary or final together.

Among the previous winners in the category include cello István Várdai (1st prize in 2006, Hungary), Yuki Ito (1st prize in 2010, Japan) and Gabriel Schwabe (2nd prize in 2005, Germany ).
