International Federation of Film Critics

The Fédération Internationale de la Presse Cinématographique (short FIPRESCI ), the international federation of film critics and film journalists. Your statutory function is to promote film culture and develop as well as to represent the professional interests of its members. The FIPRESCI is composed of film critics and film journalists associations of individual countries. In German-speaking, these are the Association of German Film Critics, the Association of Austrian Film Critics and the Swiss Association of Film Journalists and film journalists ( SVFJ ). In countries where there are no such organizations, also an individual membership is possible.

The FIPRESCI was founded on June 6, 1930 in Brussels, on the initiative of Belgian and French film critic.
