International Indian Film Academy Awards

The International Indian Film Academy Awards ( IIFA Awards short ) are prices of the Bollywood film industry. They are awarded annually since 2000 at a gala event outside India.

It is organized by event management company Wizcraft International Entertainment, which is also behind the IIFA. This has made ​​it its task, the Indian film making (ie, the Hindi film ) beyond India known and to establish it on the international level.

The IIFA is organized in the form of a foundation since 2003 and is supported by an advisory board of people in the film industry. It shall comprise Amitabh Bachchan, Ramesh Sippy, Jyoti Prakash Dutta, Vinod Khanna, Jaya Bachchan, Pahlaj Nahalani, Shyam Shroff and David Dhawan.

The statuette is about 45 cm tall and is made of brass with a 24 -carat gold coating. It provides a sun dar. two extended rays symbolize the meeting of the Indian film with the world cinema, the nine rays of the sun stand for the nine Navrasas.
