The Centro Internacional de la Papa ( CIP) is an international research center based in La Molina in Lima ( Peru). With the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and food security in developing countries, research activities on potato, sweet potato and other root or tuber crops are taken. Also, the management of natural resources in the Andes and other mountain areas is research.

In the Peruvian Andes east of Cuzco is the Parque de la Papa, in which more than 900 different varieties of potatoes are grown at an altitude 3200-4800 meters, with the support of Centro by local farmers.
