Interstate 30

The Interstate 30, just I-30, is an Interstate Highway in the Southern United States. It begins at Interstate 20 west of Fort Worth in Texas and ends after 590 miles of Interstate 40 near Little Rock, Arkansas. In Dallas Interstate runs parallel to U.S. Highway 67, which was a part of I-20 once.

  • It is possible to extend the Interstate 30 along U.S. Highway 67 from Little Rock. There are also after, a possible expansion, plans for a Interstate 730 along the Arkansas State Route 226 Jonesboro.
  • The section of I-30 between Dallas and Fort Worth is called the Tom Landry Freeway in honor of long- time coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Although Interstate 30 south of Texas Stadium, the former stadium of the Cowboys runs. The new stadium will therefore lie in Arlington, closer to I-30.
  • In Dallas Interstate 30 is known as the R. L. Thornton Freeway known between downtown and the suburbs of Mesquite. The name was taken from the I- 35E at the Mixmaster node.
  • The I-30 is the shortest two-digit Interstate that ends with a zero. In general, these are the longest east-west highways. This is also the second shortest major interstates, where the last digit is a 0 or 5, according to the Interstate 45
