Interstate 805

Interstate 805 (abbreviated I- 805 ) is an Interstate Highway in the United States and runs parallel to San Diego, California to Interstate 5

Course

The I -805, also known as Jacob Dekema Freeway or simply the 805 serves as a bypass of I-5 in the metropolitan area of San Diego. In the south, it begins at the I-5 right after the border with Mexico, and then through the towns of Chula Vista and National City and Mira Mesa, a suburb of San Diego. Until place Chula Vista Interstate consists of eight to ten lanes. In the further course it traverses include some commercial areas of San Diego on Sorrento Valley until they near the Carmel Valley runs into Interstate 5.

The I -805 leads with a high bridge over the Misson Valley.

The northern triangle of Interstate 5 has been expanded and beginning of April 2007 and opened to traffic. At its widest point, including the Interstate in this area, including the HOV lanes 22 lanes. Along the I- 805, many companies have settled. History

Initial plans for the construction of the road were published in 1959. It was approved as Interstate and but later honored as State Route. Between 1970 and 1975 the road was built as Interstate.
