Intimidator (roller coaster)

Carowinds Intimidator in is a steel roller coaster model from hyper coaster manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard, opened on 27 March 2010.

Carowinds is located in Charlotte and Fort Mill and thus both sides of the border between the U.S. states of North Carolina and South Carolina. Intimidator is located in the southeastern part of the park on side of South Carolina.

The 1620 meter long track reaches a height of 71 m and has a 64 m high first drop of 74 degrees, on the trains reach a top speed of 121 km / h. Next seven airtime hills are fitted with 54 m, 46 m, 32 m, 27 m, 19 m, 16 m and 15 m height. In addition, the track is still equipped with a 37 m high U-Turn, a block brake and a diving spiral.

Intimidator has three trains with eight cars. Each car can accommodate four persons, the seats are arranged in a V shape ( the two front seats are located in center of the car next to each other, the two rear seats, however, are slightly offset to the outside).
