Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations

The Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations ( IOTA ) (about: Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations ) is an intergovernmental association with the main focus on the transparency and sustainability of public finances. The idea came up in the context of the European integration process in 1995 and 1997 resulted in operational work recording the IOTA.

The IOTA has currently (as of June 2010), 44 administrations as members (42 full members and two associate members ).

The Secretariat of the IOTA is based in Budapest.
