Intradermal

Intradermal (also intracutaneously ) means " in the skin " or " administered into the skin." Upon administration of a drug, the skin is not punctured, but this is introduced into the skin itself. Intradermal administration of drugs should not be confused with an epicutaneous (on the skin) or subcutaneous (under the skin ) administration.

Applied this technique an example in allergy testing, tuberculin or certain vaccinations.
