Inzhich-Chukun

Inschitsch - Tschukun (Russian Инжич - Чукун; abasinisch Йынджьыгь - ЧІкІвын ) is a village in the Russian republic of Karachay -Cherkessia. She had about 2610 inhabitants in 2013 and is rajon since 2006 capital of Abasinski. Inschitsch - Tschukun is how the entire Rajon, mostly inhabited by members of the people of Abasinen.

History

The town was founded in 1861 and initially carried the name Selentschuksko - Loowski. In 1925 it was renamed the Inschitsch - Tschukun. Before it became capital of the Abasinski rajon 2006, belonged Inschitsch - Tschukun rajon to Chabeski.
