Ioan Mihai Cochinescu

Ioan Mihai Cochinescu ( born April 16, 1951 in Timişoara) is a Romanian writer, essayist, screenwriter, film director, photographer and art professor doctor of aesthetics.

Study

He graduated in 1974 a study of music (violin, piano and composition) at the Conservatory in Bucharest from. His professors have included George Bălan, Dan Constantinescu, Myriam Marbe, Victor Giuleanu, Emilia Comisel, DD Botez, Marin Constantin Grigore Constantinescu, Dan Buciu, Alexandru Leahu. In 2005 he graduated from this same University as a PhD in music ( aesthetics). His dissertation is entitled " The musical Venetian Baroque in the work of Antonio Vivaldi".

He is currently a Professor Doctor of Aesthetics at the Art Lyceum Ploieşti / Romania.

Artistic and literary career

In the 1980s he participated in literary circles known Bucharest, such as " Junimea ", led by the critic Ovid S. Crohmălniceanu, " The literary Monday circle " under the direction of Professor Nicolae Manolescu, " IL Caragiale " in Ploieşti but. As an art photographer, he takes part in various international competitions 1982-86 both in Romania and in France, Brazil and Poland, where he was awarded significant prizes. He published essays, articles and translations in the journal " Fotografia ". Ioan Mihai Cochinescu is the inventor of the plan - and room photos in the galleries of photographic art AAF (1983 Bucharest ), Sala Dalles (1983 Bucharest ) and has been exhibited in Poland in 1986. In 1987 he initiated in Ploieşti the first National Salon for photographic essays, ESEF.

Ioan Mihai Cochinescu is a member of " Writers' Union of Romania " (1993 ), member of the "Association of Art Photographers in Romania " (1982), founder and chairman of the " Literary Society Ploieşti " SPLP (1990 ), founding member (1994 ) and member of the Executive Board (1996 ) of the " Association of Professional writers in Romania", ASPRO.
