Ipameri

Ipameri is a political Brazilian municipality and small town in the state of Goias in the micro-region Catalão.

The community name is indigenous origin and means between the rivers ( Portuguese: entre rios ), since the municipal area between the rivers São Marcos in East and Corumbá lies in the west.

  • To the north by Orizona, Luziânia, Cristalina
  • To the east by Paracatu (MG) ​​, Campo Alegre de Goiás
  • To the south by Catalão, Goiandira, Nova Aurora, Corumbaíba, Caldas Novas
  • On the west by Pires do Rio, Urutaí

The western boundary runs along the Rio Corumbá, except in the area of the municipality of Urutaí, which was separated on December 15, 1947 as an independent community of Ipameri. The western border in the south to Caldas Nova forms of Corumbá Reservoir.
