Iranian legislative election, 1988
The Iranian parliamentary elections in 1988 took place on 8 April 1988 [note 1] instead and were the third parliamentary elections after the Islamic revolution and the recent parliamentary elections during the first Gulf war in Iran.
Results and consequences
The single most important party of Iran, the Islamic Republican Party ( self-dissolution on June 2, 1987) was replaced by the party of the Association of fighting clergy.
