Irene Tedrow

Irene Tedrow ( born August 3, 1907 in Denver, Colorado, † March 10, 1995 in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California ) was an American actress.

Life

Irene Tedrow played as a teenager in the theater, so she studied out of school drama at Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh, where she received her degree in 1929 with a Bachelor of Arts. Then they played a few years of theater on Broadway with Maurice Evans Company. She has performed among others at the A Century of Progress, Chicago World's Fair 1934 on. She also played occasionally on the radio before 1937, her first movie contract signed.

In the years 1940 to 1989 Tedrow was seen in more than 180 film and television productions. Twice she has been nominated in the course of their careers for an Emmy.

On March 10, 1995 Irene Tedrow died at the age of 87 years to a heart attack. The widow, who was previously married to William Kent, left behind two children, including actress Enid Kent, and three grandchildren.
