Iréne Theorin

Lena Iréne Sofia Theorin ( born June 18, 1963 in Södra Hestra, community Gislaved ) is a Swedish opera singer (soprano ).

Iréne Theorin studied at the Academy of Music and Opera School in Copenhagen, a short time and at the Operahögskolan in Gothenburg. In 1998, she was honored as the only musician with the Danish Léonie Sonning scholarship. Among her teachers Susanna Eken, Birgit Nilsson, Ingrid Bjoner and Oren Brown.
