Yirgacheffe ( alternative spellings Yirga Boss, Irgachefe, Yergacheffe; former name Finchoa or Finchawa ) is a city in southwestern Ethiopia. It is located east of the Abayasees and Nechisar National Park and is the capital of the woreda Yirgacheffe within the Gedeo Zone in the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region. 2005, Yirgacheffe according to the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia 20,979 inhabitants.

By 1967, the population stood at 4,094, in 1984 it was about 8,300. In 1994, Yirgacheffe 11,579 inhabitants, of which 23.13 % Amhara, Oromo 23.09 %, 16.27 % Soddo - Gurage, 13.61 % Gedeo, 7.94% Silt'e, 7.72% Sebat Bet Gurage - and 1.74 % were Welaytta. 63.07 % spoke Amharic as their mother language, 11.59 % Gedeo, 11.52 % Oromo, 5.17% Soddo, 3.31% and 2.86 % Silt'e Gurage.

International Yirgacheffe is known primarily for the coffee, which is grown in the area.
