Irina Meleshina

Irina Alexandrovna Meleschina (Russian Ирина Александровна Мелешина; born Simagina Russian Симагина; born May 25, 1982 in Ryazan ) is a Russian long jumper.

The winner of the Universiade 2003 reached on 31 July 2004 in Tula, a width of 7.27 m, making it the eleventh place is in the eternal world ranking (February 2013). Shortly thereafter, she won the silver medal behind Tatyana Lebedeva Tatyana Kotova before and during the Olympic Games in Athens. The three Russians were just two centimeters apart.

After a maternity leave in 2006 she went to work back at the IAAF World Indoor Athletics Championships 2008 in Valencia with a third place at the 2009 World Championships, they did not reach the final. In February 2012 she was found guilty of doping with testosterone and banned for two years.

Irina Meleschina is 1,70 m tall and weighs 58 kg.
