Iron Eyes Cody
Iron Eyes Cody (actually Espero Oscar de Corti, born April 3, 1904 in Kaplan (Louisiana ); † January 4, 1999 in Los Angeles ) was an American actor.
Cody was the son of Italian immigrants in 1924 and went to California where he changed his surname to " Cody " and to work while he lived according to Native American Art as a stuntman and actor began. He appeared in over 200 films with (almost exclusively Western like The Big Trail and A Man Called Horse ) and was one of the " flagship Indians " of Hollywood. Was married to Cody with the Cree Indian Eyes Bertha Parker, with whom he adopted two Indian sons. As an advertising medium for a smooth handling of nature he was very successful in a campaign of the 1970s; In 1995 he was honored by the "native community " in Hollywood for his services.
