Irrhausen

Irrhausen is a municipality in the district of Bitburg -Prüm, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It is located on Irsen and heard of the collective municipality to. The community is located directly at the valley of the 1,000 butterflies.

History

Up to the end of the 18th century belonged to the rule Irrhausen Dasbourg in the Duchy of Luxembourg ( district Echternach ). In 1794, French revolutionary troops had the Austrian Netherlands, to which the duchy of Luxembourg was at the time, occupied and annexed in October 1795. Under the French administration, the area belonged to the Canton Arzfeld, who was administratively assigned to the district Bitburg in the department of forests.
