Iruya River

The Río Iruya, Iruya also called the upper reaches Colanzulí, is a river in the same department Iruya Salta Province in northwestern Argentina. It rises in the foothills of the mountain Cerro Morado, in Abra Laite, about 15 km south of the village Iruya and flows 20 km northwest of the city of San Ramón de la Nueva Oran in the Pescado. The Iruya is 125 km long and has a catchment area of ​​3002 km ². He overcomes between source and mouth of a difference in altitude of about 3000 meters.

River

On the section between the source and the village Iruya the river Iruya by inflows from the side valleys Lacho, Lacho Chico, Caranchi, Pie de Cuesta, Antigal, Toroyoc, Pamahuaico, Campo Redondo, Campo Corrales, Pueblo Nuevo, El Chorro and Milmahuasi is ( or Capilla ) fed. In Puesto Rioja Río Río Cañas Astillero and open into the Iruya. They form the largest inflows in this section. From Isla de Cañas the Río Piedras and Iruya of Río Negro is fed. Then it flows into the Pescado.
