Isaac Chinebuah

Isaac K. Chinebuah ( * ca 1926-1928; † June 8, 2006, Accra, Ghana ) was a leading Ghanaian academics and politicians. Chinebuah had held the office of Minister of Foreign Affairs between 1979 and 1981 in the Third Republic of Ghana under President Hilla Aeschlimann.

Career

Chinebuah was already in the First Republic of Ghana under President Kwame Nkrumah minister for education and information.

In 1979, Chinebuah successor of Gloria Amon Nikoi the Office of the Secretary of State (Minister of Forein Affairs ) of Ghana during the presidency of Hilla Aeschlimann. As Liman was ousted in military coup led by Jerry Rawlings, Obed Asamoah followed by the Office of the Secretary of State Chinebuah. He was also a member of the then Parliament for Nzema East today constituency Ellembelle Constituency.

At the prestigious Achimota School in a today lying north of the capital district of Accra was Chinebuah headmaster 1963-1966. Moreover, he was a lecturer and researcher at the Institute for African Studies ( Institute of African Studies ), University of Ghana, Legon, a suburb of Accra. Later, he was also Dean of the Arts Faculty of the University of Ghana.

Life

Chinebuah died on 8 June 2006 at the age of 76 or 78 years in the famous military hospital of the military base 37 in Accra. He was buried on 11 August as part of a state funeral attended by top government officials and members of the government. Chinebuah was married to Jane Chinebuah and father of eight children.
