Isabell Klein

Career

Isabell Klein began with the handball game at TSV Schleißheim and moved to the C -Jugend TSV Ismaning in the Bavarian League. For the 2003/2004 season the junior national team signed a contract with the HSG Bensheim / Auerbach (2nd Bundesliga Süd). Since 1 July 2007 Isabell Klein plays for Serie A club Buxtehude the SV. Previously, she played for four years at the HSG Bensheim / Auerbach in the second handball league and with a mining license for the TSV Ismaning. The left-hander is used predominantly in the right back position, but also on back center of the room and outside right.

In addition Isabell Klein is one of Germany's best beach handball players. In the sand they also can achieve their greatest successes so far. For the Handball Magazine ( issue 12/ 2006), she was, together with playmaker Janin Hetzer and Franziska Heinz to the power winners at the 2006 World Cup in Rio de Janeiro.

On 29 January 2007 she was elected by the readers of Bergsträßer indicator "Sportsman of the Year 2006".

Since 2008 Isabell Klein is a member of the extended squad of the national handball team. For Germany it has played in which she scored 83 goals 59 matches. The squad for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing she did not belong to. She stood in the squad of the German national team for the World Handball Championship for Women 2009 in China. Since October 2011 she has been captain of the German national women's team.

Her sister Michaela Nagel plays for TSV Schleißheim in the national league in Southern Bavaria. Her brother Christoph Nagel also plays TSV Schleißheim in Bezirksoberliga Old Bavaria in Bavaria and was already working for the TuS Fürstenfeldbruck in the Bavarian League.

Since August 2013, it pauses pregnancy related. During the 2013 World Cup, she worked as Fernsehkommentatorin for the station Sport 1.

Isabell Klein is Business Administration ( BWL ) and married since July 3, 2009 with handball player Dominik Klein (THW Kiel). On February 23, 2014, it became parents of a boy.
